MUMBAI : Smriti Kalra, who is a popular name in the TV industry, will next be seen in Satish Kaushik’s Kaagaz 2 which also stars Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, and Darshan Kumaar in the lead roles. Smriti started her career with the TV show 12/24 Karol Bagh and has surely come a long way.

How has the experience been of shooting Kaagaz 2; are you done with the shoot?
We have shot for it in Lucknow, Dehradun, and places near Mumbai. A bit of shooting is left which we will be doing in Mumbai, and the experience has been fantastic. I feel that I got lucky to have them, and they got lucky to have me. I hope when it releases, it will be very lucky for us all!

Kaagaz was released on an OTT platform. Do you know if the sequel will be released on OTT or will it have a theatrical release?
I have no idea what the makers are planning. But, the journey has been memorable and whatever we have shot till now is what they were looking at. I would desire a theatre release. But, whatever will be best for the film that the makers will decide.
How has the experience been of working with Satish Kaushik, Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, and Darshan Kumaar?
Mr. Kaushik, Mr. Kher, and Neena Gupta ma’am have been working for so many years; they have done theatre, television, and films. They have a lot of experience in their career as well as in life. So, it was like a school for me, and I was just observing them. They are very passionate about their work. Darshan has also been a fabulous co-actor.
