Sonam Kapoor's 5 lakh worth diamond necklace stolen; files police complaint
After being hospitalised for exhaustion recently, Sonam Kapoor has more irksome trouble at home to deal with. The fashionista's 5 lakh jewellery was reportedly stolen from her house. Interestingly, the theft took place on 4th February and the complaint was registered for theft by Sonam and her mother on 5th February.
For the moment, the Juhu police have registered a theft case against unknown persons and have begun investigations.
In her complaint, Sonam is believed to have said that on February 4 she had attended a party in Bandra where she the necklace and other jewellery. She returned late in the night at 2 am and kept it in her drawer. However, later it went missing.
As per Sonam, six boxes of jewellery were given to her by a renowned jeweller as part of an endorsement and she had worn the overall jewellery (worth a crore) to the party. The theft was discovered the next day when the jeweller's representative came to collect the entire set and Sonam realised that the diamond necklace is missing.
The Juhu police have started their investigations by questioning the domestic help at Sonam's bungalow .
The police are also planning to check also check the CCTV footage of the party to make sure if Sonam had left the party wearing the necklace. They are also checking if the piece of jewellery was inadvertently dropped by Sonam. For the moment, the cops are investigating from all angles.
Let's hope Sonam gets back the costly necklace soon.
