MUMBAI: Veteran actress Ayesha Jhulka, who was recently eliminated from Celebrity MasterChef India, has shared a spine-chilling incident from her time on the sets of Kurban, where Salman Khan saved her life in a dramatic turn of events.
Speaking to host Farah Khan, Ayesha reminisced about the harrowing experience that took place during the filming of a dance sequence on a railway track. Recalling the moment, she said, "We were filming a song, and Salman was positioned on the track to my right, performing his part. The music was playing, and we were assured that the train had been halted for our shoot and would not move until we had completed our sequence."
However, things took an unexpected and terrifying turn when the train suddenly started moving despite prior assurances. Ayesha described how, amidst the loud music and the shoot’s intensity, she did not immediately realise the danger approaching.

But Salman did. In a split second, he spotted the train coming towards her and reacted instinctively, pulling her away with such force that she momentarily felt as though she would be flung into the air. Within moments, the train sped past, narrowly missing the actress.
Reflecting on the incident, Ayesha expressed her gratitude towards Salman, acknowledging that had he not acted in time, she could have lost her life that day. "It was a terrifying moment, and if Salman hadn’t saved me just in time, I don’t know what would have happened," she said.
Salman Khan and Ayesha Jhulka starred together in Kurban, a film that remains memorable for its popular songs and their on-screen chemistry. Their camaraderie on set extended beyond just acting, as this near-tragic moment demonstrated.
