MUMBAI: Maddock Horror Comedy Universe started with the release of Stree featuring Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee Aparshakti Khurana and some more. The movie was directed by Dinesh Vijan and released in 2018.
The movie introduced the audience to the genre of horror comedy in the best way and garnered a huge amount of love from the audience. Soon there came some more movies like Bhediya starring Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon, Roohi starring Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor and previously released Munjya starring Abhay Verma, Sharvari and Mona Singh.

Now we have Stree 2 coming up and the trailer of the movie received huge appreciation from audience. The trailer looks like everything that the audience were waiting for and a little more. The movie was supposed to release on 15th August, going for a clash with Vedaa and Khel Khel Mein but recently it was revealed that the release date has been preponed with some special shows for fans staring from 7.30pm.
The movie is all set for its preponed release today evening. Meanwhile, we are here with how the movie would perform at the box office.
Seeing how Stree performed in 2018 and keeping in mind the competition on 15th August, it seems like Stree 2 is headed for ₹30-32 crore nett opening collection which might be the biggest opening of the year for Hindi cinema.
It is worth noting that Fighter and Kalki (Hindi)’s opening day collection were highest so far but Stree 2 can beat these collections easily. Meanwhile, the movie is headed for ₹15 crore nett in advance sales alone which will be another record this movie will be breaking, flying past Fighter and Kalki (Hindi).
