MUMBAI : Stree was the movie that started ‘Maddock Horror Comedy Universe’ and movie featured Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee Aparshakti Khurana and some more. The movie was directed by Dinesh Vijan and released in 2018.
The movie introduced the audience to the genre of horror comedy in the best way and garnered a huge amount of love from the audience. Soon there came some more movies like Bhediya starring Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon, Roohi starring Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor and previously released Munjya starring Abhay Verma, Sharvari and Mona Singh.
Now, we have Stree 2 where once again Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao are ready to entertain us with their performances. Shraddha Kapoor has played some of the most memorable female lead roles, be it Ayesha from Ek Villain, Maya from Chhichhore, or Arohi from Aashiqui 2. There’s one more role that has now made a home in people’s heart and that is from Stree (and Stree 2)
The teaser of the movie gave huge expectations to the audience as they were waiting for this movie and the trailer was everything that the fans wanted to see and even more. As the release date came closer, the makers announced special shows for fans on 14th August before the official release the next day.
As a result, the movie had the biggest opening of the year, even beating a lot of big budget movies of the current year and last year like Kalki 2898 AD, Pathaan, Fighter, and some more. The movie collected around Rs 60 Cr on its opening day.

It seems like the the makers have really done a fine job making a sequel that has been better than a lot of recent sequels we have seen till now.
