MUMBAI: Ever since the news of the threequel of Hera Pheri was announced, fans have been waiting to see the iconic trio of Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh Rawal back on the big screens together. But according to recent reports, Akshay Kumar has withdrawn from the project and Kartik Aaryan has been brought in as his replacement. During an interview, Akshay Kumar revealed that the reason behind him backing out was that he was not happy with the screenplay and script of the movie. Now actor Suniel Shetty, who plays the role of Shyam in the previous two films, has broken his silence on the matter.
In an interview with a media portal, Suniel Shetty shared that it would be for the best if the original cast of the film would return for Hera Pheri 3. He also added that nobody can take the place of Akshay Kumar and the makers of the movie are corresponding with Kartik Aaryan to play a different role instead. Suniel Shetty further said that he will discuss with the makers and Akshay Kumar to see what can be done. He said, “What finally happens is something that needs to be seen. I am not aware because I am genuinely busy with Dharavi Bank. I have had no time to sit down and work on all this. After November 19, I'll sit down and understand and talk to Akki and others and see what happened.”
Now it is to be seen as to whether Suniel Shetty will be able to convince Akshay Kumar to come back on board for Hera Pheri 3. Fans are desperately hoping that the original cast would reprise their roles, including Akshay Kumar. The original cast included Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal in the lead roles and watching them on screen certainly made everyone laugh out loud.
