MUMBAI: 4 months before we lost one of the finest gems of Bollywood, Sushant Singh Rajput. In these months, the case which was reported to be suicide was then suspected it to be a homicide, due to which, federal agencies had to intervene followed by some massive and explosive details coming to light. Nevertheless, the probe seemed to be continuing as the latest reports in Times Of India suggests that the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has sent 15 smartphones to Directorate of Forensic Sciences (DFS) in Gujarat, as confirmed by top sources.
The portal even carried a statement which read, "The agency has sought all the data on the devices - which would include contact lists, messages, social media conversations and media files. It is possible that the date might help the investigators in establishing a few facts or getting details related to the interplay of the accused in the case,” said a senior official associated with the case.
Nevertheless, while the report doesn’t divulge any details on the phones or why the phones were sent to Gujarat for digital forensics, NCB officials in Mumbai has mentioned ‘voluntary surrender’ of cell phones of actors Deepika Padukone, Shraddha Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan and Rakul Preet Singh for detailed examination.
Apart from this latest information, it is reported that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has completed its investigation in this case and is likely to file a closure report soon. Even AIIMS forensic team reportedly concluded that Sushant Singh Rajput died by suicide, ruling out the murder theory
