MUMBAI: Yesterday was a big win for team Rhea as she was granted bail by Bombay HC after her arrest by the NCB under the NDPS act.
As per NDTV, she was granted bail as there wasn’t enough evidence to prove that she was a part of the drug syndicate.
These were a few points that were considered by the HC before giving the actress bail.
1 Not guilty of financing or illicit trafficking of drugs
2. No other criminal antecedents against Rhea
3. She hasn’t forwarded drugs to somebody for monetary benefits
4. Reasonable grounds to believe she is unlikely to commit any offence during her bail term
5. She hasn’t been proven guilty in commercial activities of drugs.
6. In the personal case, no criminal case or FIR has been registered.
7. The HC also mentioned that though the NCB had said she was procuring drugs for SSR, it doesn’t mean she was harbouring drugs.

HC said that all these points don't come under the 27IPS section under the NDPS act. Thus, the HC granted bail to Rhea.
The NCB didn’t not have a strong case and couldn’t prove her role in the drug syndicate, and that’s why she walked free.
On the other hand, she is still the number one accused in the SSR case in the FIR filed by the CBI.
