MUMBAI: Kangana Ranaut recently made some shocking claims, calling out Bollywood biggies such as Karan Johar, Aditya Chopra, among others. In an interview with Republic TV, Kangana also called actresses Taapsee Pannu and Swara Bhasker ‘B-Grade actresses,’ asking if they love Karan Johar so much, and are better looking than Alia Bhatt or Ananya Panday, then why don’t they get work? She also said that their existence is proof of nepotism. Now, in a recent interview, Taapsee has hit back at Kangana, responding to each allegation leveled at her.

While speaking to Hindustan Times, Taapsee said that it is disheartening to see someone making a mockery of the industry that has given them so much. Addressing the part where Kangana said she doesn’t get work, Taapsee said that she has been doing at least four films each year, and has also announced five films this year. “Yes, I’ve been dropped out of films and replaced with star kids but the fact that Kangana and her sister (Rangoli Chandel) try to discredit me and my hard work, call me names, put wrong allegations on me, is actually an equal level of harassment, if not more. All this because I refuse to sing her tune and because I refuse to see her as the flag bearer of outsiders because we all are not bitter people?” she said.
Taapsee further stated that she absolutely refuses to use someone’s death for personal vendetta, or make a mockery of an industry that gave her bread and identity. She said that she did speak up when she was replaced in Pati Patni Aur Woh, and called them out. “So, it’s not like I am scared to voice out problems and people do back you when you do it with right intentions,” said Taapsee.
Meanwhile, Taapsee recently seemed to have responded to Kangana Ranaut’s B-grade actress remark. While she did not take names, Taapsee tweeted, “Maine suna class 12th n 10th ke result ke baad humaara result bhi aa gaya hai! Humaara grade system ab official hai ? Abhi tak toh number system pe value decide hoti thi na #MaLifeMaRulesMaSh*tMaPot.”
