Telugu star Uday Kiran found dead, suicide suspected

The New Year has started on a tragic note for Telugu film industry. One of its brightest talents, Uday Kiran, was found dead under mysterious circumstances at his house yesterday night. It is believed that the 33 year- old actor allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling of his flat Uday's body was discovered by his wife and parents. The actor was immediately wheeled to the hospital where doctors declared him dead on arrival. The police, for the moment, reportedly believe that the actor committed suicide as he was suffering from depression. Police sources were quoted saying that the autopsy report would give them a clear picture about the exact cause of Uday's death. Uday was one of the brightest stars shining luminously in the Telugu industry. He made his debut in 2000 with Telugu film Chitram which went on to become a mega hit. His next two releases- Nuvvu Nenu and Manasantha Nuvve - also became huge blockbusters thereby earning him the title of "Hat-trick Hero". His exploits also earned him a Filmfare award for the best actor making him the youngest actor after Kamal Hassan to win this recognition. Meanwhile, Telugu film industry expressed its deep shock over Uday's death.
