To think that I would charge 150 crore for a film is ridiculous - Salman Khan

Salman Khan
Reports of Salman Khan hiking his fee to the tune of 150 crore for Karan Johar’s Shuddhi set tongues wagging in Bollywood. So much so that Karan himself had to take to Twitter to dispel this rumour. “Apparently I have paid 300 crores to 2 major super stars...yes!! If this is true then I am also looking for a job, a house, and a LIFE!!” It was being speculated that the two superstars were none other than Salman Khan and Aamir Khan. While Salman is doing Shuddhi with Karan, there is no clarity on whether Karan has signed Aamir to do a film for Dharma yet. When Salman was asked if he had indeed asked for an astronomical sum of money as his fee for Shuddhi, Salman scoffed at the idea. Said Salman, “I wish I could get paid that much. Just because our films earn that much money doesn’t mean we would charge so much money as our fee. To even think of that is ridiculous.” While Kick has been going great guns at the box-office, Salman remains his usual nonchalant self preferring not to attach overt importance to the number game. When asked whether Kick would cross 200 crore, Salman jokingly enquired, “Sirf 200?Kya yaar… jab bolna hi hai toh bada figure bolo na. Tumko kaha paise lagane hai.” However, Salman did say that records never bothered him. “Jokes apart, I never think too much about money that my films thinking that it should cross Rs 200 crore or break records. If it does then its fine.” According to figures last received, Kick had crossed 164 crore in India and 42 crore worldwide. With no release this week, Kick is expected to rake in more courtesy the solo run at the box-office.
