MUMBAI: Vicky Kaushal and Sunny Kaushal are a well-known duo from the Hindi film industry. Because of their different big-screen roles, both brothers have established themselves in the business. However, his younger brother went with the 2016 comedy-drama Sunshine Music Tours and Travels and the TV Mini-Series Official Chukyagiri.

Vicky marked his Bollywood debut with the film Masaan in 2015. The Kaushal brothers recently appeared on The Great Indian Kapil Show which is a Netflix series hosted by Kapil Sharma. They revealed some never-before-heard family history in their time on the show.
An extended version of the Netflix show with Vicky and Sunny was released on the comedian's official YouTube channel on April 23, 2024. Kapil questioned the two in the video if they ever talked about their scripts at home.
To this, Vicky revealed that they don’t discuss scripts but still, they have conversations around films a lot, which irritates their mother. For those who don’t know, except their mother, Veena Kaushal, all other members of the Kaushal family are related to the film industry. Vicky and Sunny’s father, Sham Kaushal is an action director.
Vicky said,“Nahi ek dusre se discuss nahi karte par ho kya jata hai aajkal…filmy discussions bohot hoti hai aur iss discussion se sabse zyada jo tang hoti hai wo hai mummy kyunki hum jab ekatthe ho gaye aur ab kya hai 9-5 job toh hai nahi ki structured hai, Sunday ko chutti hoti hai, bohot kam hota hai ki saare ekatthe hi the toh jab aisa mauka aata hai toh unko hota hai ki ‘Yaar ab filmein mat discuss karo.’”
He said, “Hamari shuruwat hoti hai ki film discuss nahi karenge, kuch aur discuss karenge. Par abhi mummy bhi jab baat karti hai na unki language mein thoda filmipana aa gaya hai. Wo kahengi ki ‘Main Yoga gayi thi phir cut to sabziwala dikh gaya.’”
Vicky shared another hilarious anecdote about his mother. He revealed that their mother calls him ‘kitaabi engineer’ and his brother the real engineer. The actor further mentioned that his brother can repair electronic appliances at their home.
Vicky added, “Maine engineering ki huyi hai par meri mummy bolti rehti hai ki tu toh sirf kitaabi engineer hai. Ghar mein kuchh kharab ho jaaye, AC kharab hai, TV kharab ho jaaye, light change karni hai, Sunny yeh kar de. Kisi tarah yeh theek kar deta hai.”
The host had earlier asked Vicky whether he and his wife, Katrina Kaif, still celebrate Valentine's Day with the same enthusiasm as before marriage. He also asked him if he still buys his wife's favorite chocolate or whether he currently tempers the lentils.
Vicky initially chuckled before responding the same and mentioned that they celebrate the day before and after marriage in a similar manner. However, spending more quality time together has always been the main object of the day.
