Aamir Khan in a magnanimous gesture apologised to Kamal Haasan for not supporting him when his film Vishwaroopam was banned by Tamil Nadu. Aamir who was speaking at FICCI Frames 2015 raised his concern at the unwanted censorship and bans that are currently prevailing in our country. Kamal Haasan who was one of the guests found a mention in Aamir's speech when he touched upon the censorship issue.
Replying to the anchor's question about the censorship and his own take on AIB and Delhi Belly, Aamir said , "Every creative person can make whatever they want. I can make a film just to satisfy my creative instincts. I am against banning any kind of material. When we spoke to the I&B minister, he said the list of words that were proposed to be banned were not made by him."
While Aamir avoided speaking about AIB roast, he said people are free to dislike his celluloid work as well.
"People are free to not like my work but to stop somebody from doing something is not right. I also want to apologise to Kamal Haasan because I was not there with him when his film (Vishwaroopam) was banned happened. I read it later and it is during such times that one has to stand together."
Well after apologising for PK, it looks like Aamir is currently on an 'I am Sorry' spree.
