Zid is more than just kissing and love-making: Priyanka Chopra’s cousin Mannara

Barbie Handa aka Mannara is the latest Chopra girl to enter Bollywood after Priyanka and Parineeti Chopra. The girl is hot, she knows it well and doesn’t mind flaunting it either. Zid, her movie’s trailer has received an amazing response on YouTube and although the girl won’t admit it, deep down she knows it’s her glam quotient that has sent things on an upward spiral for the movie on the internet. Blessed with a stunning body and good looks, Mannara was confidence personified when we met her recently at Anubhav Sinha’s office. Undoubtedly, the film has been making waves for the numerous kissing and love-making scenes that it has been peppered with. When we asked her if there were any reservations about locking lips and making love onscreen in her debut film, Mannara said, “I am an actor. The character that you see on the film is Maya and not the real me. Maya is sensuous, flirtatious and dangerous all at the same time. Also, am I the first person to kiss onscreen? You are an actor and it is your job to do what the character demands of you.” Mannara also clarified that there is more to the film than kissing. “The film is not just about kissing. Just because you see kissing scenes in the trailer doesn’t mean the entire film is based on kiss and love-making,” averred the newcomer. Coming from a film family where the presence of Priyanka and now Parineeti loomed large, Mannara never had to look elsewhere for inspiration. But the spunky debutant is aiming to make it big on her own and doesn’t want to piggybank on the shoulders of her famous sisters. “I can take inspiration from my family members but I don’t want to copy Priyanka. I have my own thing. When people are talking about me, be it positive or negative way, it’s me who is involved in the discussion. No one can run on their father or sister’s name for a long time. It is you who people should like and not anyone else,” said Mannara. Well, we do have to say that the trailer of Zid has run merely on your hotness quotient till now and not on the ‘Chopra’ surname.
