MUMBAI: After a lot of appreciation for Kesari, the makers have finally revealed their solid plans for Kesari Chapter 2 and it is sure to get the fans excited for sure.

Since a while now, audiences have been loving Akshay Kumar’s performances a little more, be it in Sarfira, Khel Khel Mein or Sky Force. The actor gave an amazing performance in the 2019 movie Kesari where he was paired opposite Parineeti Chopra.

The movie was based on the battle of Saragarhi which took place in 1897. The battle was an unforgettable one between 21 Sikh soldiers of the 36th Sikh Regiment of the British India Army and 10,000 Afridi and Orakzai Pashtun tribesmen.

While there is no confirmation of Parineeti’s return, the makers have revealed the release date of the second chapter to be 18th April, 2025 with a cast including Akshay Kumar, R. Madhavan and Ananya Panday. While Kesari was directed by Anurag Singh, this time, Kesari Chapter 2 will be directed by Karan Singh Tyagi. The movie will be produced by Dharma Production, Leo Media Collective & Cape of Good Films.

It is hinted that this time, the movie will be about the unfortunate Jallianwala Bagh massacre which took place in April, 1919.
