MUMBAI : A famous period in Indian film was welcomed by the legendary script team of Salim-Javed. Superstar Salman Khan and filmmaker Zoya Akhtar, their children haven't yet worked together on a project. Cooperation of this kind would be "delicious," as Javed Akhtar's daughter Zoya recently stated, but it would depend on finding the ideal topic that speaks to both.

Famous filmmaker Zoya Akhtar's highly praised films include Gully Boy, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, and Luck by Chance, who expressed her excitement at the idea of collaborating with Salim Khan's son Salman Khan. Salman is one of Bollywood's top stars and is renowned for producing big-budget blockbusters that appeal to viewers all over the nation.
In a recent interview with the popular news portal, Zoya discussed the idea of a potential collaboration with Salman, saying, “It would be amazing! He is a megastar who has got a crazy persona and a huge fanbase. I have to obviously find a subject that works for him, his fans, and me. The minute we find a subject, it would be delicious, it would be a lot of fun.”
Zoya is co-producing the upcoming Amazon Prime Video Documentary Angry Young Men which delves into the life and career of Salim-Javed shared an anecdote about meeting Salman Khan to discuss the docu-series. She and her brother, actor-filmmaker Farhan Akhtar, visited Salman at his iconic Galaxy apartment.
“It was fun, we were on his lawn and had some tea, all his nephews were around. It was a nice feeling to be back at Galaxy because we grew up there and played in that garden,” Zoya reminisced.
Salman was especially candid about the past throughout their talk, which covered every topic under the sun. As Salman was older than she and Farhan, Zoya observed that he had seen more of Salim-Javed's peak and that he had nostalgic and enlightening recollections to share.
Fans were excited when Salim and Javed indicated references to a potential reunion for a future movie during the release of the Angry Young Men trailer. Zoya responded when questioned about it, “I don’t know what they were cooking between them, but I hope I get to direct it! Because there are many contenders in the family, so I hope I get it!”
