An epic age old story, told in a new age manner. Contiloe Pictures, one of India’s leading production houses unfolds the epic story of Ramayana in a unique 3D animated avatar. The movie portrays the greatest villain of Indian mythology, Ravana, like never before.
Mahayoddha Rama is unique in its storytelling style and novel presentation. Rama, the Indian hero from the Vedas is seen here in a new light. The entire story is from Ravana’s point of view with his 10 heads talking to each other, providing for comic relief through their individual and unique point of view. These 10 heads portray different characteristics with one being a ram bhakt and chanting “jai shri ram” at every mention of his while another never loses an opportunity to show Lankesh down. Some of the voices for the heads are given by famous artists like Gaurav Gera, Roshan Abbas, Ameen Sayani, Sadashiv Amrapurkar, Kikku Shardha and Gulshan Grover being the main head.
The movie gives a new lease of life to 3D animation in India, with its paint-realistic look and graphic novel style. The battle of ‘good versus evil’ reaches a new level as Rama undertakes his journey in a new, contemporary avatar. Contiloe Pictures’ new rendition shows the epic Ramayana in an enticing and unconventional manner whilst keeping the true essence of the original epic, as written by Rishi Valmiki.
The voice of the characters is provided by big names in the industry like KunalKapoor, Gulashan Grover, Jimmy Shergill, Sameera Reddy and Mukesh Rishi. The music of the film is composed by Late AadeshShrivastava and the lyrics written by veteran writer Javed Akhtar. The movie is scheduled to release on 4thNovember, 2016 and targets not only children but adults as well.
