X factor gets its first elimination

Sony TV’s singing reality show X factor witnessed its first elimination which will be aired on June 18. The two bottom contestants were Manjeera Ganguly from Shreya’s team and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Nirmitee team. A source tells us, “The first elimination was difficult for the judges as this was the first time they bid adieu to one of the participants and it was tough for them to take a decision. According to votes, the two contestants in the bottom were from team Nirmitee of SLB’s group and Manjeera Ganguly from Shreya’s team. Now it was left to the three judges to save the better singer out of them. SLB cast his vote in favour of Nirmitee whereas Shreya stood by her team member Manjeera Ganguly. Now it was on Sonu Niigaam to take the final call. He decided to cast his vote in favour of Nirmitee as he said both of them were equally good but when it comes to singing this show is about showing X factor and Nirmitee exactly does that. You give them any song and they will perform in their own creative way.” As reported earlier Mallika Sherawat performed on the song Jalebi bai. The actress was accompanied by director Indra kumar and music director Anand Raaj Anand who had come to promote their upcoming film Double Dhamaal. Now that the eliminations have begun, we wonder who will be the next to go.
