I am a vanilla person even in real life: Rajesh Jais

Rajesh Jais
Rajesh Jais currently seen as father of four pretty girls on Colors’ Shastri Sisters (Shakuntalam Telefilms) holds principles just like his on-screen character Mr. Shastri, but then he is cooler than him. Read on to know how... “I am a vanilla person even in real life just like Shastri,” says Rajesh with a smile that spreads across his face and then he starts showing us the difference list. “Let me start by telling you a bit about me. I am basically an academic person and taking guest lectures at NSD is a part of it. My family is in armed forces hence, I too was to join air force. In fact I used to fly before I became an actor. I am also a very good shooter. So, if you ask my daughters on the show about me they’d tell you how cool I am. I joke a lot, exercise and jog.” Why did you opt for acting then? “Acting is my passion To tell you, I was selected as a lieutenant in Territorial Army as I had cleared the exam and even the group discussion. During this time I was also a part of NSD and while I got the offer letter to join army I had already bagged a show. Hence I stuck to the show,” confesses the artist. Do you ever regret your decision? “I am extremely thankful to God for bringing me here. I am one of those privileged few who don’t have to rush to work in a train. I stay next to Oberoi Mall and my set is in Filmcity, so that’s hardly any distance. What else can one ask for,” ends Rajesh. Now that’s definitely one lucky man.
