MUMBAI: Veteran television actor Sudhanshu Pandey, best known for his powerful portrayal of Vanraj in Anupamaa, is making a notable shift from fiction to reality as he steps into the spotlight in The Traitors.
With nearly 30 years of experience in the entertainment industry, Sudhanshu’s move into reality television has caught the attention of fans and critics alike and he’s already making headlines for his strong stance on discipline and respect in the house.
Currently a prominent contestant on the show, Sudhanshu has been winning praise for his composed gameplay and straightforward attitude. In an exclusive chat with TellyChakkar, the seasoned actor opened up about fellow contestant Apoorva Mukhija, better known by her social media moniker ‘Rebel Kid’. Expressing concern over her behaviour, he criticised her lack of boundaries and respect, particularly towards senior actor Ashish.
“Apoorva, what is this 'Rebel Kid'? A name doesn’t define you. You haven’t experienced anything to earn that title,” he remarked, questioning her comments about Ashish’s potential eviction. “He’s not your servant. He’s a respected senior in our industry. If you can’t respect people behind their back, you can’t truly respect anyone, not even your own parents.”
Sudhanshu further emphasised the need for young people to uphold dignity and values, especially in the age of social media. “There must be boundaries. When we lose respect, we lose our humanity. Nudity and foul language are on the rise publicly—it’s frightening. Influence comes with responsibility,” he added.
As The Traitors continues, Sudhanshu Pandey’s honesty, maturity, and strong moral compass are clearly striking a chord with audiences nationwide.
