Ashok Lokhande turns Sidharth Malhotra's mentor

He might be playing the simpleton Babasa in Star Plus’ Diya Aur Baati Hum but Ashok Lokhande is on a different high these days. The veteran actor has bagged a pivotal role in Karan Johar’s Brothers that is set to release in July next year. The film stars Akshay Kumar and Sidharth Malhotra in the leads and is inspired from Hollywood flick Warrior. Brothers will have the two actors getting into an action mode as they gear up to become fighters. And playing the role of Sidharth’s mentor will be Ashok Lokhande. When we buzzed the actor on the same he quipped, “Yes, I am part of the film and it is a different experience overall. Although the film will have loads of action, I will stay out of it and just back Sidharth in his journey.” Ask him about his experience of shooting for a film and Ashok replied, “It is most definitely a great change as shooting for TV and films is poles apart; overall it is a fun time on the sets.” The actor has films like Khamoshi, Sarfarosh and shows like Son Pari, Just Mohabbat and a lot many to his credit.
