Young lad Pearl V. Puri is brimming with joy after bagging the lead role in Saurabh Tewari’s upcoming show for Star Plus, which has a tentative title ‘Yeh Ishq Nahin Aasaan’. For him, this will be a lifetime opportunity to prove his mettle as an actor, after he came to the limelight in the show Dil Ki Nazar Se… Khoobsurat on Sony TV. However, Pearl’s professional ‘high’ has only resulted in a personal setback, is what we hear. Well, the story goes like this… Pearl and budding actress Mrinalini Mandal, were apparently in a strong relationship for many years. When they reached Mumbai to get a foothold as actors, things seemed to be a bed of roses for them as they used to help each other out in raising their motivational levels. But when Pearl bagged the lead role in Saurabh Tewari’s show, things started to drift apart for the young couple. As per a reliable source, “Mrinalini had a change of heart and she did not want Pearl to establish himself as an actor.” The result of all this was that Pearl and Mrinalini had a break-up, and this happened immediately after Pearl bagged the Star Plus show. While this was one theory, another source from the set of the Saurabh Tewari show said, “When Pearl bagged the lead role, he started to have ego clashes with Mrinalini. And this actually led to their love story falling apart.” Well, Pearl’s love story has hit such a bad patch now that most of the actors and unit members know of the guy’s break-up soon after he started shooting for the show. An actor on terms of anonymity did confirm Pearl’s sad love tale. When we contacted Pearl, the actor simply refused to accept that he knew anyone by name Mrinalini. “I don’t know any Mrinalini. In fact, I have been single for the past two years now. And as you know, I have been associated with this Star show only for the last seven months.” When probed about any love affair earlier, he stated, “There’s nothing of that sort. I had a girl friend, but this story is nowhere true.” Mrinalini actually refused to comment when questioned about Pearl. On further request, she said, “I am sure even Pearl would not want to talk about all this now.” Well, this seems to be a serious case of ‘love gone wrong’… We hope time heals away old bitter memories, and gives both Pearl and Mrinalini a great future..
