MUMBAI: In a surprising moment during the SRH vs MI clash at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Ishan Kishan walked off the field in the third over of Sunrisers Hyderabad's innings after seemingly losing sight of a delivery from Deepak Chahar. What raised eyebrows was the absence of any appeal or umpire decision prompting his exit. The moment, which left both fans and experts puzzled, was labelled a "brain fade" by former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag.

Commenting on the incident, Sehwag said, “Many times, the mind fails to work at that moment. It was brain fade. Stop at least and wait for the umpire to make his decision. The umpire is also charging some amount of money for his job.” He further added, “I could not understand this honesty. Had it been an edge, it would have been understandable because that would be in the spirit of the game. But it was neither out; the umpire was unsure and you started walking off all of a sudden.”
Despite the early drama, Mumbai Indians secured a convincing seven-wicket victory. Trent Boult starred with the ball, taking four wickets for just 26 runs. He dismantled the threatening SRH opening stand of Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma before later dismissing Manohar and Pat Cummins, contributing significantly to MI’s triumph.
