After Jigyasa Singh, Ankit Bathla, Jaya Bhattyacharya and many others, talented and noted Marathi actress Prateeksha Lonkar and veteran theatre personality Jairoop Jeevan has been roped in Colors’ upcoming show Thapki Pyaar Ki (SOL Productions).
A source shared that Prateeksha, who was seen in films like Dor, Iqbal, Wanted, will be seen essaying the role of Jigyasa Singh’s (Thapki) mother. The actress was last seen in Sony TV’s show Byaah Hamari Bahoo Ka.
While another source revealed, “Jairoop will be seen in the role of Balvinder, Hardhik Sanghani’s (male lead) father. He will be the head of the family and a strong headed person, who will have some mafia connection. Though he will not share a very cordial relation with his son, he will be a complete family man, who respects women”.
Jairoop has earlier assisted acclaimed director Shekhar Kapur and has done many television shows including Chanakya.
When we contacted Jairoop, he confirmed the news but refused to divulge any further. And we tried reaching Prateeksha but she remained unavailable for a comment.
Thapki will go on air from 25 May.
