Channel Big Magic, from the home production of Reliance Broadcast Network Limited, recently launched a fresh new logo of the channel, with the promise of presenting to the viewers some fresh, quirky and entertaining digital content. As we caught up the with the channel’s CEO, Tarun Katial and Creative Director, Paritosh Painter the duo shared the plan of revamping BIG Magic. Tarun, who promised to deliver some humourous content on the fiction space, said, “Our vision is to strengthen the comedy space on entertainment channel and to present our audience with some best humourous projects. Entertainment on television in India has mostly been related to daily soaps only, which again is women oriented. On the other hand comedy has mostly attracted male audience and with our new campaign and lined up programmes, we intend to offer some new ventures catering to male audience.” On the other hand, present at the event was also the writer and Creative Director of the channel, Paritosh Painter. Paritosh in a witty manner added, “When we decide to revamp the channel, we planned to make comedy a very serious affair. We have some edgy contents lined up ranging from stand-up comedy shows to family dramas.” The channel also launched a new show Tedi Medi Family, which will be based on international series The Middle, and will have Saloni Daini, Ami Trivedi, Iqbal Azad, Dharmik Joisar and Sushant Mohindra in the main cast. Actors from other shows of BIG Magic like Kiku Sharda, Delnaaz Irani, Upasana Singh and Gaurav Sharma were also present at the event.
