5 Reasons Why Sony TV's Suryaputra Karn is a MUST WATCH

5 Reasons Why Sony TV

One of the most underrated warriors of the Mahabharata is Karn. The dynamic, yet neglected brother of the Pandavas was a virtuous son, a truthful fighter, and an archer par excellence. To some fans of the epic tale, he is the real hero and not Arjun. Well, we don’t know if that’s true, but what we do know is that his illustrious life is being projected on the small screen in Sony TV’s most-anticipated drama, ‘Suryaputra Karn’. We give you five reasons why the show is a MUST watch…

Knowing our glorious history

It’s always fascinating to get acquainted with our glorious past that’s so rich in culture, heritage and tales of morality and values. Karn’s story will take us back to the age of the Pandavas and Kaurvas who fought for their honour. Sony TV’s primetime saga has not only recreated the days of glory, but also makes sure to explain our history in simple terms so younger audiences can learn about them.

Kickass special effects

War sagas need splendid special effects so that it looks realistic and relatable. That’s where this show comes out on top as the teasers have already told us what sort of special effects to expect. Even though the show is still tracing the birth and growing up years of Karn, we can be sure that there will be to notch effects involved in the coming episodes. Isn’t that reason alone to watch this show?

Treating of Karn

Karn was a controversial character, who was loved by few and hated by others, while highly revered by the rest. We are dying to know which stance this show is going to take. Will they glorify Karn at the cost of his Pandava brothers? Or project him for who he was? Won’t it be fun to watch the Mahabharata from the eyes of Karn than those of his more famous brothers? Sometimes, we forget that he was as talented and skilled as Arjun, if not better. And that he deserved a better end in the epic saga.

Ethereal costumes

What’s a historical drama without the quintessential ornate costumes and jewellery? We have already seen the women sport intricate lehangas, saris and accessories, while the men are busy flaunting their washboard abs and ripping muscles. It’s interesting to watch how our ancestors lived and to be a part of their life is truly exhilarating. We can’t wait to watch the battle scenes and Karn’s marriage festivities and other functions where rich fabrics and dazzling designs would come to fore. And who can forget the warrior’s arresting ‘Kavach and Kundal?’ (It was his distinct feature, bestowed upon him by his father, Surya dev).

Breath-taking sets

It’s the grand sets and dramatic recreation of the era gone by that has us asking for more! Be it palatial houses or the modest homes of the charioteers, everything’s recreated keeping the heritage and past in mind. It makes for a breath-taking visual treat, which shouldn’t be missed out on by anybody!

Don’t miss it guys. The show is an absolute visual treat and airs every Mon-Thu at 8.30pm.
