
MUMBAI: The entertainment world has been left in deep shock following the sudden and tragic demise of actress and performer Shefali Jariwala. As per emerging media reports, the popular star is believed to have suffered a fatal cardiac arrest. However, an official statement from her family or representatives is still awaited.
Renowned journalist Vickey Lalwani was the first to break the heartbreaking news on social media. He revealed that Shefali was rushed to Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital in Andheri, where she was declared brought dead. Lalwani further stated that he had spoken directly with hospital staff, who confirmed her passing. The details surrounding the incident remain unclear, pending further confirmation.
Shefali Jariwala rose to instant fame in the early 2000s with her electrifying appearance in the music video Kaanta Laga. The track became a nationwide sensation, earning her the nickname ‘Kaanta Laga Girl’ and a permanent place in pop culture memory.
She later appeared in the hit Bollywood film Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, further showcasing her on-screen charm and versatility.
Her popularity resurged when she entered the Bigg Boss Season 13 house, where her camaraderie with co-contestants Asim Riaz and Himanshi Khurana became a much-talked-about aspect of the show.
Sadly, she is now the second contestant from that season to pass away from cardiac arrest, following the untimely demise of actor Sidharth Shukla in 2021.
