#GandhiJayanti Special: TV actors who can play Gandhi

Fighting for a country’s freedom without incorporating violence is a feat that not many have achieved. Perhaps that’s why he’s called the Father of the Nation. On Mahatma Gandhi's birth anniversary today, we take a look at TV actors who can replicate him on the small screen…read on: Ronit Roy: We can’t think of any other actor who can pull off this tough role with a practiced ease. Ronit is not just a great actor, but also an amazing orator. It wouldn’t take him much effort to adapt Gandhi’s body language as Ronit is known for his dedication. Will this be a firebrand show? You bet your money on it! Amar Upadhyay: He might be a name from the past, but there’s no doubt about his striking acting chops. Even though he has shied away from the small screen, he would make a perfect Gandhi on TV. He has the necessary skills, body language, proper pronunciation and a mystery element, thanks to his long absence from our screens. Karan Patel: We all know what a fine actor he is. But more than that, he is a versatile artist who can light up the screen with his presence alone. Considering his Gujarati roots, he would do complete justice to Gandhi’s role. We can’t wait to see him play this iconic role. What about you guys? Karan Wahi: Well, this might sound rather weird, but the dashing actor can actually play a serious role with much aplomb. He is sincere, hardworking and passionate enough to take up this huge challenge. If nothing else, at least the makers can count on his hordes of female followers for TRP purposes! Shakti Arora: He has been riding the success wave for a while now, so it makes total sense to have him play Gandhi on the small screen. We definitely want to see him play a historical figure who’s not so confused about his love life and is not arrogant, unlike Arora's current character Ranveer! Playing Gandhi would help Shakti explore his sensitive side! What say, fans? Who, according to you, can play Gandhi on TV? Shout out to us. NOW!
