Happy Diwali to all our lovely readers of Tellychakkar!
We know you guys are having gala time today celebrating this fun and frolic festival of lights and diyas.
But do you want to know how is Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani lead Siddhant Karnick and Drashti Dhami, are celebrating this Diwali?
Here are the actors talking about their Diwali plans, crackers and more.
Shared Siddhant, “Diwali was one of my most favorite festivals as a kid. But, these days’ people just abuse festivals. I'm an early riser and like to go for a ride on my bike in the morning but after every festival the amount of dirt and pollution left behind in the city is depressing. One needs to give a thought to how a few hours of joy can cause years of damage to our already compromised eco system. Even during the evening of Diwali, our already polluted skies are dense with smog so thick; you can stretch your hand and feel it. The lines of litter caused by thousands of half burnt pathakas with the residue paper strewn all over the road has our BMC workers struggling to sweep the roads clean. I'm not trying to be negative here but these are the stark realities which we need to be aware of.”
Later, Drashti added, “Diwali is a family occasion for me. Pre-Diwali, we have parties to go to where all friends meet, chat, play cards and hang around. I love Diwali because you get to meet your family and are able to have a good time with them. I love bursting crackers but because of the noise and pollution it creates, I prefer not to burst them anymore.”
A joyous Diwali to you both!
