5 reasons why we will miss Sony TV's Pyar Ko Ho Jaane Do

Pyar Ko Ho Jaane Do

Whether it was the drama quotient of the show, the big build-up around the plot or the fresh lead pair, Sony TV’s love saga Pyar Ko Ho Jaane Do was one of a kind. It really kept the viewers engaged, but unfortunately, the series will come to an end tomorrow (28 January). The show, which features Iqbal Khan and Mona Singh as a married couple rediscovering love, will be sorely missed. Here are five reasons why…take a look:

Fresh pairing:

A fresh pairing makes for an interesting watch. Period. Considering how drastically different the lead actors were, their coming together made a lot of sense to the viewers. For a nation that’s starved of a good onscreen couple, Mona and Iqbal were the right serving for our telly cravings. Don’t you think so, guys?

Mature love story:

While candy-floss sagas have their own fun quotient, mature love stories make us believe in love more. That’s exactly what the case was with this show, an epitome of genuine love. The show offered us a glimpse into the world of a married couple that rediscovers love amid a joint family setting. Also, all their fights and make ups were point-on.

Good looking, and how!

Mona looked stunning in Indian wear, while Iqbal was as dapper as ever. The two looked gorgeous when they were seen together on the screen. When you have a couple that’s so easy on the eyes, you’re sure going to miss tuning into the show daily, eh? They also taught us how their families came before each other. After all, post marriage, families take precedence over the spouse.

Unconventional:

Right from the first episode of the show we knew that the reel jodi had a dark secret. There was something sinister that Iqbal’s character was hiding from his onscreen wife Mona. Let’s not even talk about the end, which was unlike anything we have seen on TV. The show showed potential in the unconventional story category and it’s such a pity that it's come to an end.

Power-packed performances:

Both Mona and Iqbal stole the screen with their performances. When the two appeared together, there was just no chance for other actors to shine. Because these two were just so good. But let’s not take away from other members, who were equally amazing in their respective characters. We are definitely going to miss them because they were such an integral part of our TV time.
