Sarita Joshi out; Pranoti Pradhan to team up with Ketki in Big Magic's Mahi Sagar

Sarita Joshi and Pranoti Pradhan

Readers, guess you have been getting quite a lot of interesting and exciting updates from the telly world today, on an exclusive basis on Tellychakkar.com.

Here comes another piece of news that will draw interest. Well, we had recently talked about the noted mother-daughter pair of Sarita Joshi and Ketki Dave being in talks for Big Magic’s upcoming season of Mahi Sagar (Hats Off Productions).

It’s rather sad, as we give you the recent update. The deal with Sarita Joshi did not go through, and as a result of this, the veteran actor will not be part of the show.

As per recent developments, Ketki Dave who was earlier approached to play the role of Anusuya (Mahi’s mother-in-law) will now play the elder saas, that is Anusuya’s mother-in-law.

And making her entry into the new season will be actress Pranoti Pradhan, who is presently seen in Disney’s Vicky Aur Vetaal.

As per reliable sources, “Pranoti will come in as the new Anusuya, who will be replacing actress Vandana Pathak. As we know, Vandana is busy essaying the hit role of Gaura in Star Plus’ Saathiya. And Ketki will come in as the new angle of the ghost, who will be the mother-in-law of Anusuya.”

Confirming the same, Pranoti told Tellychakkar.com, “Yes, I am excited to join the cast of Mahi Sagar. The first season of it has really done well, with over 400 episodes to its credit. I now get in to play the character played by the talented actress, Vandanaji. So it is a privilege.”

We also dropped text messages to Producer J.D. Majethia and channel spokesperson, but received no reverts till the time we filed the story.

We hear that the shoot for the Season 2 of Mahi Sagar with Sandit Tiwari and Dharti Bhatt will go on floor very soon…
