The grandeur and lavishness of a Bollywood magnum opus can easily fit into a TV series, isn’t it? From exploring character arcs in detail to giving each back story an elaborate episode of its own, there’s so much potential in bringing a famous Bollywood flick to the small screen. We drum up our favourite five…take a look:
Gangs Of Wasseypur:
With so many richly written characters and sub plots, this raw drama is perfect for TV. Considering how it had two parts just to accommodate the storyline, a TV series is not that far-fetched an idea. Say what, fans? Or are you screaming ‘Keh Ke Lenge?’
The Krrish series:
A superman concept is ideal for TV as you can have multiple plots and sub plots revolving around Jaadu, Krrish and the villains. Only if we could bring Hrithik Roshan and Priyanka ‘global star’ Chopra to the small screen too. Wouldn’t that be awesome? You bet it would be.
Dilwale Dulhania Le Jaayenge:
So, what happened when Raj-Simran got off the famous train? Did they live happily ever after? Did they ever fight? Well, it would be rather interesting to have the two most iconic lovers of all time showing us what it takes to make a relationship tick. We are shipping this hard. You guys?
Mughal-E-Azam:
We all love a good chunk of history, no? What’s better than one of the costliest movies to be ever made to make a comeback on TV? Also, the star-crossed love saga of Salim and Anarkali is evergreen. We can’t wait to watch this…
Border:
One of the most inspiring and tear-jerking films to even come out, Border is THE flick for TV. We will finally get to watch each couple’s story...wouldn’t that be simply wonderful? Also, heart-breaking?
Which movie according to you can be made into a TV series? Do let us know!
