Balaji Telefilms’ ‘Brahmarakshas’, which is an adaptation of the yester-year Sanjeev Kumar starrer, Jaani Dushman is gearing up for a big launch on Zee TV.
After roping in actors Rakshanda Khan, Krystle DSouza and Ahem Sharma, Ekta Kapoor has brought in two popular faces into the show. And both the actors will be making their comebacks to daily drama after a while...
And they happen to be Abhaas Mehta of Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon fame and Ojaswi Oberoi who was last seen in a daily two years back in Aasmaan Se Aage.
As per sources, “Abhaas has been roped in to play the big brother of Ahem, while Ojaswi will play Abhaas’ wife. Like every dutiful son, Abhaas’ character will be serious-minded and work-oriented. And Ojaswi will be the perfect wife and daughter-in-law of the household.”
When contacted, Ojaswi confirmed her presence in the show, and stated, “Yes, I am making a comeback after Aasmaan SeAage. What better opportunity could it be than to make your comeback with the scion of the industry, Balaji Telefilms. Since beginning, I wanted to be a part of Balaji, and thus could not resist the opportunity. Also I found the story and genre very interesting and unique. The story is highly intriguing and every episode promises to be full of suspense.”
Abhaas on his part confirmed the news but did not divulge any other details.
Also Shailesh Dattar will be playing Rakshanda's husband and Ahem's dad in the series.
