Time to welcome another big star on TV.
Murder star Ashmit Patel who made his presence felt in Bigg Boss 4 has been roped in to play the male lead in Amma (Salt Media).
To inform our viewers, the weekend series on Zee TV is all set to take a generation leap.
Joining the cast post the time jump will be Ashmit who will essay the prime role of Faisal in the show.
Also to update our readers, as per reports in the media, Urvashi Sharma, who plays the titular character has already quit the project, as she was not keen to play an aged character post leap.
Now coming to Ashmit’s role, he will play Faisal who would have been adopted by Amma. He will be a tapori kind of a mischievous person and very popular among girls. He would dream of ruling the city one day.
As fans of the show would know, currently Faisal as a kid is Hannan’s (Meghna Naidu) neighbour.
We tried reaching out to the actor and the producer Farhn P Zamma but they remained unavailable to comment.
Our efforts to reach out the channel representative also remained futile.
