Tellychakkar.com recently reported about Star Jalsha launching a new soap titled ‘Mem Bou’, which will narrate the love story of a foreigner girl and a Bengali boy. As reported, Sourav Chakraborty will play the lead guy while a newbie will essay the titular role.

All these while we have been trying to find the actress but all was in vain. The makers have been trying their best to keep their lead girl away from the scrutiny of the media. The PR strategy was to introduce the ‘mem bou’ only at the launch of the show.

But as curious journalists, we always dig deep to give our loyal readers every scoop first. This time too, we managed to dig our claws into the well-hidden secret of mem bou.

So here we are to reveal the name of the pretty girl who will play the lead character of Carol.

Well, her name is Vinita Chatterjee. Born and brought up in Kolkata, the actress tried her luck in Mumbai and has appeared in minuscule roles in shows. But with her bagging the lead in such an ambitious project, it has opened the doors of opportunities for her.

So far the talented lady has worn many hats in her career. Vinita, who earned her degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from Loreto College (Kolkata), has worked as a journalist, television anchor, travel show host and also as a voice-over artist.

She also acted in the Hindi serial Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai, where she was seen in the role of Ritu, a chulbuli Punjabi girl. The multi-talented girl also takes interest in singing.

The promo of the new show has been getting bashed by all quarters for the ‘fake’ foreign appearance but with the talent Vinita posses, we are sure she will surpass all odds to become one of the most loved actors in Bengali TV.
