India has produced several biographical films based on shinning sports stars of our country.
And, without an iota of doubt, they all have inspired and encouraged people in their own ways.
Some of the films that deserve special mention are Mary Kom (based on boxer Mary Kom), Bhaag Milkha Bhaag (based on athlete Milkha Singh) and Paan Singh Tomar (based on athlete Paan Singh Tomar).
Now, people are eagerly waiting for the release of M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story. As the name suggests, it is based on the life of Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the current ODI and T20I captain of the Indian national cricket team.
Another film for which people are eagerly waiting is ‘Sachin: A Billion Dreams’, based on the life of cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, which stars Sachin Tendulkar as himself.
We were wondering why not a biopic on Sourav Ganguly!
Who wouldn’t want to watch a film on the iconic captain, the role model, the prince of Calcutta, who had made us believe to hope that India can be a tough opponent even in the hostile overseas condition?
Once one of the most successful cricket captains of the world cricket, Sourav now wears different hats of being the tough administrator of Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB), the charming host of popular reality show Dadagiri and many more.
So, when Tellychakkar.com quizzed Sourav that if a biopic is made on him which actor he would want to play his role, Sourav replied with a smile, “I don’t know. I haven’t thought about it.”
“Right now I am focusing on the coming Test Series,” he added.
We are sure audience would love to watch a movie on him.
