Just In: Producer-director Ravi Ojha passes away

A sad news has just arrived this morning!

Producer-director Ravi Ojha, who has had a successful run in the Bengali and TV industry passed away this morning (15 November).

Known to helm shows like Sasural Genda Phool, Hum Saath Aath Hai, Sajda and many more, he has been in a vegetable (immobile) state for quite sometime now. But his immobility never deterred his spirits and he was known to be involved in the work flow of his productions with whatever means he could contribute. His prolonged illness led to his wife holding reins of the company. Ravi is revered as a visionary and his production companies is stated as one of the most amiable ones to work with.

As per news coming, early today in the morning, the talented man left for his heavenly abode.

Director Rakesh Kumar, who has been associated with him from more than a decade, told us, "He was admitted to the hospital day before yesterday. His sugar level was fluctuating and he lost consciousness this morning. At around 4 am, the doctors informed that he passed away owing to a heart failure."

He will be cremated in Oshiwara, Mumbai today.

Apart from winning numerous awards in the Hindi TV industry, Ravi was also felicitated by Mamta Banerjee (CM West Bengal) last year for his astounding contribution to the Bengali TV industry.
