**applause applause**

Chidiya Ghar is completing 5 glorious years of run on small screen and it certainly calls for celebrations.

The cast and crew are jubilant and SAB TV, the channel which showed faith on the project, has once again proven its mettle in doling out apt likeable content for the masses.

The character of Gadhaprasad, played by Jeetu Shivhare, has earned Aonian proportions of popularity. Success of his role reinstates faith in good writing and performance replete with hardwork and integrity.

Idiosyncratic, credulous yet compelling, Gadhaprasad, via his unique histrionics have touched the hearts of television lovers.

Here we drum up the reasons why we love Gadhaprasad and would continue to do so:

His Innocence

Gadhaprased exudes innocence. His sweet demeanour and naive acts make him cuddle worthy. In this big bad world, Gadha comes as a succor for all who still have faith on goodness and innocence in mankind.

His Loyalty

Deception is not his forte. He is loyal to the core. He is someone who will support his master and loved ones till the end. His relationship with Babuji is pious and hilarious, at the same time. Loyalty is a rate trait in today’s time and Gadha has it in abundance, making him as precious as a pearl.

Fool yet Funny

Gadha means a donkey, which refers to someone being a fool. Gadha’s actions are marked by buffoonery, yet he is not fool like a stupid, he is fool like a comic. He reminds us of the Chaplin era, where foolery meant funny. Gadha is one of the funniest characters in Indian television and we must say, we love him.

Humble

Gadha, at times, is taken for a ride for being a tad dim-wit. However, he is not someone who will blow the basket or resort to uttering profanities (by TV standards). No matter what, he maintains his innocence and is humble, always. Talk about equanimity. Salute to that!!!

Gullible yet Gallant

The funny man is gullible yet he has his principles and displays courage when needed, We remember the time when battling all odds, he brought an ailing donkey home to take care and nurse it back to health. Commendable display of sensitivity and bravura, we must say. Like the revered J.R.R Tolkein has said, “Courage is found in unlikely places”. Agree?
