Known for his love for wild adventures, Gurmeet Choudhary decided to train to fly and operate a chopper, during his stay in Durban, South Africa. Belonging to an army background, the actor has inherited the fondness for adrenaline rush from his father. With a commendable fitness level and an impeccable eyesight, Gurmeet was one of the fastest and most enthusiastic learners at the training centre.
The talented actor was in South Africa for promotional work but committed to pursue his childhood dream in his spare time. As if managing both with much aplomb was not enough, Gurmeet learned gun shooting there as well.
A source says, “It has been Gurmeet’s childhood dream to fly helicopters. So he learnt the basics of flying them at a training centre in Durban, and learnt to shoot guns as well. He had visited Africa for work, but he decided to stay back specially for the flying lessons."
Gurmeet says, “This trip to Africa was special in so many ways. I’m an adventure junkie, so it goes without saying that Africa was the perfect place [for me]. I finally ticked off another goal from my bucket list. I’ve always wanted to learn to fly a chopper. I belong to an army background and always wanted to learn the basics of flying a helicopter, and I finally managed to learn it.”
