The kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi sets are turning more dramatic than the serial's storyline.

The kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi sets are turning more dramatic than the serial's storyline.
On Tuesday, Akashdeep Saigal, who plays villainous hubby Ansh to the petite Nandini (Gauri Pradhan) took his vicious act to the extreme. While enacting a scene that needed him to twist Gauri's hand, Akashdeep gave it a realistic energetic twist, resulting in a bad sprain that caused Gauri to momentarily to black out.
A profusely apologetic Akash and a stunned unit rushed Gauri to a private hospital in Goregaon from the Film City location where the shoot was taking place, from where she was discharged after some time after being diagnosed with a torn ligament.
While Gauri sportingly returned to the sets Wednesday morning, wearing a sling on her arm, to finish the shoot that shows Ansh being shot dead by Tulsi, hubby Hiten Tejwani is breathing fire.
Hiten, who plays Karan in Kyunki... was not around when the incident occurred, but was nearly hysterical when he heard. Says Gauri, "He called up the director, the executive producer, nearly everybody, demanding how this could happen on the sets." A day later, Hiten was still fuming. "I would rather not speak with him," he said, referring to Akashdeep, adding that he would prefer not to act with the actor on the series anymore.
Thankfully, for all concerned, Ansh exits the serial after being shot dead by Tulsi after a protracted sequence on Wednesday at the hilly helipad location at Film City. And is himself none too keen to return to the small screen so soon. Of the unfortunate incident, Akash is remorseful. "Often, while acting, one doesn't realise which vein or muscle is being accidentally touched and may get hurt. I am genuinely sorry this happened, and I apologised immediately to Gauri.
Gauri was in obvious pain on Wednesday, having reported for the shoot at 9 am on the sun drenched helipad location, and having to endure the tedious sequences that required her to be present for a last altercation with her 'husband'. "I made sure that I did not jerk her hand in any way, although for the finale, I was supposed to pull her towards me," says Akashdeep. Hiten, hovering protectively over his wife, meanwhile looked daggers and quipped that he was glad Ansh's role was getting over.
Is the drama just beginning?
