Meghan Markle’s wedding: No less than saintly fashioned fairytale!

Meghan Markle

Prince Harry and “Suits” actress, Meghan Markle became the sixteenth Royal Couple to celebrate their real and rare marriage at Windsor Castle on 19 May 2018.

Meghan Markle wore delicate diamond studs from “Galanterie de Cartier earrings” by French jeweller Cartier with her wedding dress designed by Clare Waight Keller, epitomising a sheer elegance. She accessorised her dress with one simple bracelet by the designer under “Reflection de Cartier” on the right hand in white gold and diamond rocks which perfectly completed her look.

This gorgeous bride followed Kate Middleton’s footsteps and made heads turn by wearing a tiara straight from Queen’s jewellery – the Garrard-produced Queen Mary Diamond Bandeau! which consists of sparkling diamond and platinum bandeau has a centre brooch that has been loaned to the bride by the Queen.

Meghan’s 24-carat wedding ring has been crafted from a piece of Welsh gold, which was gifted by Queen Elizabeth herself, and Prince Harry's was a platinum band with a textured finish by Cleave and Company who earlier designed Markle's engagement ring in 2017. These bands were carried by Prince William, Harry’s older brother and best man.

Turning out, Meghan Markle received two rings from Prince Harry on her wedding. In addition to the Welsh gold band, Harry also gave his bride a magnificent aquamarine cocktail ring with a special significance: it belong to his mother, Diana. It’s considered to be one of the more striking, colourful pieces in the late princess's jewellery collection.

As per the royal tradition, Prince Philip gave the Queen a diamond bracelet made of stones taken from his mother’s tiara as a lucky charm. The Princesses’ Aquamarine ring was gifted by Harry to his bride after the wedding.

Breaking from the recent tradition, Prince Harry decided to wear the platinum band gifted by Meghan.

They pledged themselves to one another: “for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death us do part“.

Senior members of the royal family and a percentage of celebrities were among those 600 invited guests who were a part of this historic event.
