Ranbir an inspiration for the coming generation: Paresh Rawal

While Ranbir Kapoor has been vocal about how inspiring it has been to work with Paresh Rawal in Sanju, the veteran actor believes the young star is an inspiration for the new generation.

Ranbir and Paresh bring alive the father-son bond of Sanjay Dutt and Sunil Dutt on-screen in Sanju, a biopic directed by Rajkumar Hirani.

Praising Ranbir, Paresh told IANS, "I have worked with various actors, but working with Ranbir is something else. He is a very talented actor. And let me tell you, playing Sanjay Dutt, whom we can see every now and then on-screen, is certainly not easy for any actor.

"The way Ranbir internalised and delivered the character... He is flawless. He is an inspirational actor for the coming generation."

Working with Hirani for the first time was also special for Paresh.

"I think I am lucky to be a part of this special film. I was destined to be a part of a film where some of the finest talents like Raju (Hirani), Abhijat Joshi and Ranbir are a part of. I was supposed to work in Munna Bhai MBBS but it did not work out. I was offered the role that later Boman Irani played in the film.”

"But such things happen, and I had in my mind that one day, I will work with him (Hirani). Finally, it has happened with Sanju," he said.

The film is releasing on 29 June.

Taapsee and Big B's first picture from the sets of Badla

Taapsee Pannu and Big B, who first collaborated in 2016 epic courtroom drama, Pink, are now back together as they have begun the shoot for Sujoy Ghosh's murder mystery Badla in the Scottish lowlands.

The co-actors took an adorable selfie where Sr. Bachchan and Taapsee's radiating smiles were prominent in the photo. This will be their second collaboration together and with a pic as good as this, we cannot wait to see how good the film looks.

In the meanwhile, the actress will also be seen in the upcoming Hockey biopic, Soorma with Diljit Dosanjh and Angad Bedi which is releasing on 13 July 2018.

Ranbir Kapoor is a brat: Karishma Tanna

Actress Karishma Tanna, who is gearing up for the release of her second Hindi film Sanju, says her co-star Ranbir Kapoor is amazing to work with and is a complete brat.

Asked how she would describe Ranbir, Karishma told IANS, "He is amazing, a thorough professional and a brat. He's a lot of fun on the set. He has very good humour, talks well and a lovely guy to work with."

Sanju is directed by Rajkumar Hirani and also stars Sonam Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal and Anushka Sharma. The film is slated to release on 29 June.

This is not the first time Karishma, who is all set to feature in Star Plus's Qayamat Ki Raat, will be seen on the silver screen. She was also a part of the third instalment of the Masti franchise.

Karishma is not in a rush to sign films.

"I had been offered a lot of films also but if the content is not good then I would not want to do it...," she said.

Didn't always share easy relationship with my father: Sanjay Dutt

Actor Sanjay Dutt, whose life of ups and downs has inspired a Bollywood biopic Sanju tells a father-son story, says he did not share an easy bond with his late father Sunil Dutt.

On Father's Day on Sunday, Sanjay, now a dad of three, remembered his father

"Whatever I am today is because of my father. He is my inspiration and I miss him every day. I did not always share an easy relationship with him. But he always stood by me. I wish he was here to see me as a free man and the beautiful family that I have today. He would have been proud," Sanjay said in a statement to IANS.

It was in February 2016 that Sanjay walked out of jail completing his prison-term for illegal possession of arms. For the actor, his father was always a pillar of strength throughout his roller-coaster personal and professional life.

While Sanjay keeps sharing memories of his father on social media, it is this bond that finds focus in Rajkumar Hirani's Sanju, which features Ranbir essay the title role and Paresh Rawal as Sunil Dutt.

Talking about his own children, Sanjay said, "Trishala, Iqra and Shahran are such good kids. I am so proud of them... I can't wait to get back home and spend some time with them."

Sanjay is currently busy shooting for Prassthanam.

'Delhi 47KM' is a crime satire: Director

Filmmaker Shadab Khan, who is gearing up for the release of Delhi 47 KM, says that the forthcoming film is a crime satire which will question law and order in the country.

Shadab Khan was interacting with the media on Friday to promote his film.

Talking about the story line of the film, Khan said, "Basically, I belong to Uttar Pradesh and there are certain regions where I have witnessed prostitution and the business of drugs and illegal weapons and it shocked me. Then I thought of making a film which revolves around that region.”

"It's basically a crime satire. Delhi is the capital of our country and the region we are showing in the film is merely 47 kms away from Delhi....," he added.

When asked whether he is trying to question the system of the country through this film, he said, "Of course, this film raises questions on the system of the country and that's the whole idea of making it."

"If a region which is so close to the capital of this country is going through these circumstances then you can imagine the situation of law and order in the interior of the country."

When asked whom he wants to show this film from the film industry, he says he wants to show it to Anees Bazmee because he has shown interest in the film.

"Apart from him, I want to show it to Kabir Khan as well," he said.

The film features Rajneesh Dubey, Dolly Tomar and Mustakeem Khan in the lead roles.

Natasha Suri signs Mika Singh's 'Aadat'

Actress Natasha Suri, who made her acting debut with the Malayalam movie King Liar, is on board for Bollywood project Aadat, produced by singer Mika Singh.

The film also features Vivaan Bhatena, Puja Gupta and real-life husband and wife Bipasha Basu with Karan Singh Grover.

"I'm excited to be a part of this movie. It's a suspense thriller and the storyline of the movie is intriguing and will keep the audience glued to the screen. My role has multiple layers to it," Natasha said.

The movie, directed by Bhushan Patel and scripted by Vikram Bhatt, will be shot in London.

Natasha was last seen on-screen in Amazon Prime's web-series Inside Edge.

Kalki Koechlin gives an edge to edginess in 'The Job'

The quirky and compelling Kalki Koechlin essays a dysfunctional French immigrant in an Indian metropolis struggling against and being defeated by loneliness and discrimination in The Job, a strange and disturbing short film produced by Kushal Shrivastava who directed last year's whimsical thriller Vodka Diaries -- and directed by Siddharth Sinha.
