Karan Patel to host BBC’s Zindagi U-Turn?

Karan Patel

MUMBAI: Karan Patel is currently one of the top names in the Indian TV industry. The 34-year-old actor became a rage for his portrayal of Raman Bhalla in Star Plus’ Yeh Hai Mohabbatein. While his stint in the show is going well, Karan is apparently soon going to don the hat of a host. In the past, the actor has hosted programs like MTV Gumrah and Nach Baliye 7.

TellyChakkar has exclusive information that BBC is returning with its popular show Aye Zindagi. The episodic will be rebranded as Zindagi U-Turn and will air on Zing.

‘It won’t be a sequel; however, the concept and the idea is quite similar,’ our source reveals. Currently, the casting for the show has begun. The hunt for the host is on. Apparently, the good-looking Karan is in consideration to anchor the weekly.

‘The channel and the makers are keen to get Patel on board,’ the source adds.

What do you think of Karan Patel?

When we contacted the Calcutta-born actor, he denied being offered any such show. He quoted, ‘If I ever get approached for something like this, I’ll be more than excited to do it.’

Despite repeated attempts, we couldn’t get in touch with Myleeta Aga from BBC. For the uninitiated, BBC is best known for producing reality series Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa.

Aye Zindagi was hosted by TV actor Rithvik Dhanjani and featured many popular actors in every episode.

Do you think Karan would make a good host for the revamp? Let us know in the comments below.
