MUMBAI: Actor Gurmeet Choudhary, fondly called Guru, has undergone such transformation that no one would be able to reckon that he was a TV actor initially. He stated his career with TV and attained immense stardom on the small screen with his show Geet – Hui Sabse Parayi opposite the Drashti Dhami.
He went on to take a bigger leap with films such as Khamoshiyan and Wajah Tum Ho and is now excited for his next film Paltan which is set to release on 7 September. The film is based on the 1967 Nathu La and Cho La clashes along the Sikkim border after 1962 Sino-Indian War and stars popular B-town faces such as Jackie Shroff, Arjun Rampal, Sonu Sood, Harshvardhan Rane, Esha Gupta among others.
It is not only his Bollywood career that he is charging himself up with! Gurmeet was the showstopper at the Lakme Fashion Week which has the fashion industry going gaga about.

Gurmeet was the showstopper for Soumodeep Dutta’s collection which is inspired by the analogies of life and the lotus in Buddhism. Titled The Circles of Wisdom, the designer has showcased a collection which presents his skill using the handlooms from Odisha and Bengal featuring Ikat motifs and Kantha embroidery. The collection is earthy yet festive!
