MUMBAI: Sony SAB’s Tenali Rama continues to captivate audiences with its enthralling stories centered around the legendary court poet and master strategist, brilliantly portrayed by the versatile actor Krishna Bharadwaj. In recent episodes, viewers saw Rama uncover an ancient manuscript containing vital evidence that could solidify King Krishnadevaraya’s (Aditya Redij) rightful claim to the throne of Vijayanagar. Meanwhile, rumours begin to swirl across the kingdom, casting doubts on the Maharaj's legitimacy.
In the upcoming episodes, Tenali Rama is determined to find the book that might help him change the prediction made by the astrologer—that King Krishnadevaraya will soon give up his throne. Rama visits the library to search for answers and even tries to burn the book so that no one else can use it to claim the throne. But just when things seem under control, there's a twist—Surya, the Chief Army Officer, arrives and declares his right to the throne.
The burning question remains: Can King Krishnadevaraya, a king with a servant’s bloodline, defy destiny and retain his crown?
Krishna Bharadwaj, playing the role of Tenali in Tenali Rama, said, "What I love about playing Rama is that he’s not a superhero—he’s a man with a conscience, flaws, fears, and fire. In this track, he faces an unimaginable dilemma: he must find a book that could change the prophecy predicting that King Krishnadevaraya will give up his throne. What fascinates me is the internal struggle Rama goes through—he’s ready to go to any length to protect his king, even if it means challenging fate itself. I relate to that determination, because as an actor, there are times when a script feels like an impossible challenge, but you know you must give your best to make it work. This battle becomes deeply personal for Rama, and it’s moments like these that remind me why I love portraying him—there’s always another layer, another twist, and a new challenge to explore."
