Love flourishes against all backdrops and this time round, COLORS brings viewers a spine-chilling narrative with horror drama – Kaun Hai that features newlyweds Ishita Dutta and Vatsal Seth as the protagonists for the show. A contemporized rendition of the mythological story of Hiranyakashipu and his brother Hiranyaksha, this episode marks a new chapter in the show with a format change from being episodic tales to an immersive mini-series. The show also sports a new tagline and will now be called Kaun Hai? - Khauff ka ek naya adhyaay.

The couple who was in the news for signing a no-dating clause, eventually gave in to the strong bond of love and tied the knot last year. Ten months later, they are back on the small screen together and they are both thrilled to be a part of this intriguing miniseries that gives them the opportunity to try their hand at multiple genres of acting. Vatsal Seth essays the role of Yatin, who is the reincarnation of Hiranyaksha. He, along with his mother Diti wants to open the gates of hell located below the Royal Palace that threatens to end mankind and the world as we knew it. Ishita on the other hand plays the role of Vaishnavi, a simple girl next door but little did she know that she would be born with a gift… or a curse.

Speaking about the same, Ishita said, "Vatsal and me have shot as friends earlier but it’s exciting to now shoot as a married couple. I'm eager to know if there is some difference but that is something I will experience once we start shooting." On being asked about working in a horror show, Ishita said, "I'm a person who gets scared easily. I can't watch horror movies at all and I need someone to be around to hold onto. This is my first experience in a genre where I can experiment with different emotions and I'm super thrilled to have Vatsal as my co-actor.

Vatsal who couldn’t hold back his excitement on talking about returning to the small screen and this time with his wife, Ishita. He said, "It's always great to work with Ishita and with Kaun Hai, we will now get to experience facing the camera as a married couple. I have been very excited about this offer because of the storyline; it’s a well-balanced concept that has a perfect mix of horror and romance. We've begun shooting together and our characters are totally contrasting which adds to the fun quotient."
