Here’s what these Bengali TV actors have planned for Durga Puja

Bengali television actors share their Durga Puja plans.
Durga Puja

KOLKATA: For the entire year, Bengalis all over the world wait for this occasion, and finally, Durga Puja is here! It’s the biggest festival of West Bengal, and the celebration continues for five days. These five days are very special for all Bengalis. Some love to go pandal hopping, some prefer to spend quality time with family and friends, some like to gorge on their favourite food and relax at home, while some love to go on a holiday. Let’s see how our Bengali television actors are planning to spend Durga Puja this year.

Payel De: I will be travelling to Greece during Pujo and will be back in Kolkata after Lokkhi pujo. During my trip, I will visit Athens, Mykonos, Naxos, and Santorini.

Shampa Banerjee: Puja is entirely family time for me...love, laughter, food, fun, prayers, addas, and joy...sheer positivity all around.

Avik: During the Puja days, my childhood friends come over to Kolkata from wherever they are posted in India and abroad. So, most of the days, all of us meet at someone’s house and have adda sessions, eat home-cooked food, and have a great time. I make sure to spend a day with my parents. On Dashami, along with a couple of my friends, we go to Princep Ghat in the evening to watch Bhashaan.

Arjyo Dasgupta: On Sashti, I will go pandal hopping the whole day and night. On Saptami, I will spend time with my family, and I might go shopping at noon. On Ashtami, I will give Anjali with all family members and again go pandal hopping all day and night. On Nabami, I’ll be acting as a judge for a dance competition, and on Dashami, I’ll be at home.

Sushmili: During Durga Puja, I will go pandal hopping with my family. I will go to my Para with my friends, and on Ashtami, I will give Anjali with my parents. My family members are coming to visit us, so I will spend good time with them. Also, my mom will cook some good food during the Pujas and I’m really excited about that.

Sweta Mishra: This Pujo, I will be spending my time with my family. And because I'm not a fan of pandal hopping, I'll indulge on food and sleep. The four days of Pujo is all about bhoger khichuri, the sound of Dhaak, and sleepling at noon.

Alivia Sarkar: This Puja, I am packed up with lots of shows and will be travelling for work. And the rest of the time, I will prefer to chill and may be watch shows on Netflix. Sounds boring, I know.
