MUMBAI: Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah (Neela Tele Films Private Limited) on SAB TV has always managed to keep the audience hooked to their TV screens.
Producer Asif Modi is known to come up with out-of-the-box story ideas. In a recent episode, Jethalal Champaklal Gada (Dilip Joshi) was seen selling pani puri as part of a scheme run by Gada Electricals.
In the sequence, Jethalal creates a pani puri soup when he runs out of puris. Sources inform us that the local vendors around Mumbai loved the concept of pani puri soup so much that they have even started selling the same.
TellyChakkar got in touch with the production house, who confirmed the news with us: ‘Yes, we have been getting calls from a bunch of local vendors who shared with us that after seeing the episode, they used the same recipe at their stalls and the public is simply loving it.’
