MUMBAI: Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone finally tied the knot in a private ceremony held at Lake Como, Italy, on November 14 and 15. Looking drop-dead gorgeous in a red and gold saree on November 14 and a red Sabyasachi lehenga on November 15, Deepika was all smiles in the captures that made their way to the web. Ranveer was a handsome groom dressed in a white silk kurta–pajama on day 1 and a red and gold Sabyasachi sherwani on day 2.
Now that the wedding is over, preparations have begun for their three receptions in India. They start off with hosting the first reception in Bengaluru, which is Deepika's hometown, followed by two receptions in Mumbai—one for their friends and media on November 28 and the other for industry colleagues on December 1.
A host of invitations has already been sent out by the couple to almost all celebrities. As per some media reports, it seems that both Deepika and Ranveer have sent out invites to Ranbir Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif, Sonam Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, and many others. These specific stars are ones with whom either Ranbir or Deepika has had some sort of past. But now, the couple has decided to let bygones be bygones.
A source close to the couple said to a leading publication that the couple doesn’t believe in holding on to the past. They both together decided to send the invites. Much to everyone’s surprise, an invite has been sent to Katrina Kaif with whom Deepika has not been very friendly because of their common past with Ranbir Kapoor. Apart from Katrina, an invite has been extended to Anushka Sharma too, whom reportedly Ranveer Singh was once dating. But that is now history.
Anushka moved on and married Virat Kohli. Katrina Kaif is happily single, and let's not forget that Katrina stated on Koffee With Karan that she was very excited to attend Ranveer and Deepika’s wedding.
