Shubhi Mehta to play a pivotal role in Amrit Manthan

Rajan Shahi’s Director’s Kut has churned out some path breaking shows in the past and after Kuch Toh Log Kahenge and Havan, the production house is all set to come up with a new show, Amrit Manthan which will be aired on Life OK. And the latest news that we have gathered is that Chak De actress, Shubhi Mehta, who was also seen in Colors’ Bairi Piya has been roped in to play a pivotal role in the series. Amrit Manthan is about relationships and will deal with the importance of family values in today’s society and will revolve around two boys and two girls. And Shubhi Mehta will play a Punjabi character, Gursheel and Navin Saini’s wife, aunt (bua) to the female lead. This character will have big dreams and aspirations in life, but since she couldn’t accomplish them, she wants her niece to fulfill them on her behalf. Tellychakkar.com spoke to the producer of the show, Rajan Shahi, who said, “Yes, Shubhi is an integral part of the show. I can’t disclose the details of her character, but I will say that it will be very spontaneous. Her character will add spice to the show; it will bring a different flavor.” The shooting for this show is on, but the final date of it going on air hasn’t been finalized.
